Category Attributes
The Attributes tab shows the live Category Attribute profile for the current Category.
It includes:
- attributes defined directly on the Category;
- attributes inherited from parent Categories;
- attributes inherited from approved Universal Categories;
- current live measure and measure-unit overrides.
Category authoring screens use this live state. Effective templates are activated snapshots used by Product runtime forms, imports, exports, synchronization, and Product Pack logistics resolution. They must not be treated as the source of truth while editing the Category itself.
Logistics mappings
The Category Logistics Profile uses the same live inherited attributes when showing candidate attributes for logistics roles.
For example, a pipe child Category can map Length and Diameter inherited from Pipe. If those attributes are visible in the live Category Attributes tab, they should also be available to the logistics editor when their measure family matches the selected shape recipe.
